Program Description

This series of courses provides students with a broad range of knowledge and skills needed for welding and cutting metal. Topics include basic metallurgy, welding symbols and blueprint reading, and an overview of welding processes.

Accuplacer Next Gen minimum score: Reading 237 or (Reading 229 & Writing 237) or ESL Reading 102 or ESL 276 overall

To satisfy the English prerequisite for the program, students need to do one of the following:

  • Take placement test and score above the prerequisite course
  • Provide proof of completing college level English
  • Meet one or more of the listed exemptions
