Program Description

This series of courses teaches direct patient care and preparation, ECG, phlebotomy, pharmacology, and patient safety and confidentiality. At the conclusion of an externship experience, students sit for the National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) credential through the National Center for Competency Testing.
For this workforce training certificate program, students can request approval to transfer up to 25% of total certificate contact hours of prior learning of a Foundations and/or Medical Terminology related courses from an accredited institution. Contact Program Manager for more details.

Prerequisites:

2. Provide proof of being 18+ years of age prior to start of CAH 283.
